The 37-year-old allrounder, who led the side in the inaugural edition of the league before relinquishing the role to 2016 World T20 winning captain Darren Sammy ahead of the 2017 season, cited personal reasons for his separation from the team.
"Won the trophy with one team, time for another. I am announcing my end of service as president and player of Peshawar Zalmi team due to personal reasons," he tweeted.
