Rohit Sharma, who was set to lead the India Blue side in the Deodhar Trophy, has been ruled out due to a minor knee injury. The All India Selection committee on Thursday (March 23) has named Ruturaj Gaikwad of Maharashtra as replacement for Rohit who has been advised rest by the BCCI. India Red batsman Kedar Jadhav will also miss out due to a stomach related ailment and he will be replaced by Hyderabad's CV Milind.

Rohit has been trying to make a comeback after a lay-off due to a thigh muscle injury. On his comeback, the Indian batsman had featured in two Vijay Hazare Trophy matches and scored 16 and 4 runs. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will now lead the team in his absence.
The Deodhar Trophy starts on Saturday (March 25) and will be played on round-robin basis. Apart from India Red and India Blue, the three-team tournament features Vijay Hazare Trophy winners
