Australia continued their domination over hosts Sri Lanka in the limited-overs formats with a thumping 85-run win in the first of the two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Pallekele on Tuesday (September 6). Put in to bat, the visitors scored a record 263 for 3 in 20 overs with Glenn Maxwell top-scoring with an unbeaten 145. Sri Lanka was never in the game after that and they eventually finished with 178 for 9 with skipper Dinesh Chandimal (58) registering his joint-highest score. New ball bowlers Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland helped themselves with three scalps apiece.
