India 5, Bangladesh 0 - The number of times these two sides have won the Asia Cup. Bangladesh are the most improved limited-overs side in world cricket. They have a euphoric home crowd pushing them through in yet another series. They beat India in a bilateral ODI series the last time MS Dhoni and Co. were here. But this Indian team is a different machine in the T20I. One aberration in Pune aside, they've swept every other T20I game in 2016. An Asia Cup win will only strengthen their billing as the favourites to clinch the ICC World T20 at home, starting next week.

But before we get ahead of ourselves on what this final signifies - It's raining at Mirpur!
Right... So we know of rituals that appease the providence into sending rain to drought-hit areas. Is there any to make it stop? My colleague tells me about a one-legged dance and judging by his expression, I know it to be farce.

The tournament has been so much fun thus far. It deserves a champion now!
Right. So it started off a slight dirizzle giving the locals hope that it would pass away soon. It relented, teasing the players out to begin their warm-ups before striking back with increased ferocity. Our man at the ground, Ganesh Chandrasekaran reports that the gusts of wind are bringing down weird objects from the roof of the stand.
The giant electronic screen at the venue has taken a beating-Whoa!
In Case You Didn't Know: The Cut-off time for the match to start is 10.45 Local Time. We have over three hours but the rain is yet to relent. The mopping up will start only after that. Hmm... Remember there is no reserve day. Bangladesh have their World T20 qualifier in just a couple of days.

Understandably, the crowd is taking shelter now. In case you didn't already know. The game wouldn't get underway at the scheduled time.
