After a few quiet initial overs, Bangladesh jumped back into the game with their first breakthrough. It was a big one and the experienced Mohammad Hafeez was back in the hut, thanks to a good delivery from Mohammad Shahid. Hafeez was pushed back into the crease with a short of length ball that was angled away. As he looked to defend, the ball took the outside edge of his bat, offering a simple catch to the keeper.
Azhar Ali has now joined Sami Aslam at the crease.
