CLT20: Live Cricket Score of Kolkata Knight Riders vs Perth Scorchers, Match 10, Group A

Perth Scorchers captain, Adam Voges, won the toss and elected to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders. Scorchers selected Coulter-Nile ahead of Cartwright. Manish Pandey and Kallis are playing instead of Bisla and Cummins for Kolkata for KKR.

It was Craig Simmons who thwacked Yusuf Pathan for two boundaries in the first over. He showed deft touch to essay a boundary through slip cordon and then smashed the spinner down the ground for another four. In the second over of the innings too he went after Kallis and thrashed him over backward square-leg for a four. He is certainly in scorching form!!

Kallis though, gave Voges a life, as he dropped a caught and bowled chance. On the other hand, Simmons went after the young Kuldeep Yadav by slog sweeping him for a four and then using the depth of the crease to cut him. Perth's batsmen have come out with a positive intent and it looks like they can give Kolkata a run for their money.

Narine came into the attack to tie down Perth's batsmen. However, just in nick of time, Voges upped the tempo to thwack Chawla, the leg-spinner for boundaries and then, Simmons clouted him for a six over deep mid-wicket. They have erected a solid platform for the middle-order to come into play.

Just in the nick of time, Kuldeep Yadav, the chinaman bowler snaffled the key wicket of Simmons for KKR. Simmons seemed to be frustrated, and was lured out of the crease by Yadav, who bowled it slightly wide of off-stump and was stumped by Uthappa. Perth's batsmen weren't picking Yadav for sure.

Yadav also took the wicket of key man Mitchell Marsh to give Kolkata a slight edge. His victim, Marsh couldn't pick him, and he blindly came down the wicket only to be stumped with the one that turned away from the batsman.

Adam Voges used his wisdom of experience to essay a timely fifty. He twinned caution with aggression to keep scoreboard moving. For Perth to do well, Voges needs to get s big one here.

Sunil Narine made the crucial breakthrough by sending Whiteman back to the pavilion. Actually, Whiteman was in fine touch, as he had slog-swept the spinner for two boundaries, before getting out.

The young Yadav then continued to shine brightly by taking Coulter-Nile's wicket. He took a brilliant caught and bowled chance to dismiss him. Perth's batsmen haven't picked Yadav's wrong 'un and as a result, struggling to force the pace.

Naine with his box of tricks took four wickets to put Kolkata ahead what with Perth notching up 151 for 7 in their 20 overs on a good batting wicket. Kolkata have a slew of fine spinners, who can bamboozle you with their variations and that has helped KKR to win games in recent times.

Joel Paris took the wicket of Gambhir to lift the sagging spirits of Perth Scorchers. The left-armer's angle worked for him, as it left the left-hander ever so slightly and Gambhir, not exactly known for getting to the pitch of the ball hit it straight to the backward point fielder to lose his wicket.

Gambhir's weakness even in the shortest format of the game thoroughly exposed there!!!
