Karnataka's pace trio dismantled Mumbai's batting line-up before the visitors comfortably seized control on the opening day of the fixture at BKC Stadium in Mumbai. After electing to bat, Mumbai were skittled out for a paltry 120 in 48.1 overs, with only Akhil Herwadkar (60) showing resistance.

Vidwath Kaverappa (3/38), Prasidh Krishna (3/21), and leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal (3/4 in 4.1 overs) shared the spoils as Mumbai's vaunted batting line-up crumbled. Yashasvi Jaiswal fell for just 5, while Musheer Khan managed only 1. Captain Shardul Thakur's cameo of 16 was the only other innings of note. In reply, Karnataka lost star batters KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal for 28 and 17 respectively but Mayank Agarwal (54*) ensured there no further hiccups as Karnataka ended the day trailing by just 10 runs with eight wickets in hand, firmly in the driver's seat.

Captain Ricky Bhui's resolute 83 off 174 balls anchored Andhra's innings of 264 for 6 on the opening day of their clash against Bengal. Opening with intent, Srikar Bharat (47) and Shaik Rasheed (46) provided early momentum before Mukesh Kumar (3/50) and Akash Deep (2/64) struck back for the hosts, who had opted to bowl.

Bhui found an able ally in Nitish Kumar Reddy, the pair adding 108 runs for the fifth wicket to rescue Andhra from 147for 4. Mohammed Shami (1/38) was economical but couldn't break through regularly. But Bengal will look to their pace ace to wrap up the tail quickly on day two, having managed to remove both Bhui and Nitish in a span of four balls before Stumps.

Aditya Singh's fighting 83 off 167 balls was the lone bright spot as Jharkhand were bowled out for 235 after being sent into the bat. Janmejay Joshi (4/46) and Aditya Rawat (3/39) led the demolition, reducing Jharkhand to 80 for 5 at one stage. Aditya found support from skipper Virat Singh (47) in a crucial 90-run partnership for the sixth wicket, but Mayank Mishra (3/50) helped clean up the tail. Uttarakhand had just one over to negotiate before stumps, reaching 4/0.

Kuldeep Sen produced a five-wicket haul (5/66) to bowl out Jammu & Kashmir for 194 after MP elected to field. Shubham Khajuria top-scored with a patient 60 off 140 balls, while tail-ender Yudhvir Singh blazed 41 off just 35 deliveries with three sixes to provide late impetus.

Kumar Kartikeya (3/26) and Aryan Pandey (2/27) complemented Sen's efforts as J&K collapsed from 109/2 to 194 all out. In reply, openers Harsh Gawli (8 not out) and Yash Dubey (14 not out) negotiated 10 overs safely to take MP to 28/0 at stumps, still trailing by 166 runs but with all ten wickets intact.
