The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shifted the Super league stage and the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite from Indore to Pune.
Thirteen matches, including the final, will be held between December 12 and 18 across two venues - the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and the Dr. DY Patil Academy ground in Ambi - an MCA official confirmed to Cricbuzz.
The change was necessitated by a shortage of hotel rooms in Indore. The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association had informed the BCCI that it would be unable to host eight teams, their support staff, and the broadcast crew, with most hotels heavily booked for wedding functions and a major doctors' conference.
The Super League lineup will comprise the top two sides from each of the four groups in the ongoing league phase. Those eight teams will be split into Groups A and B, with each side playing three matches. The Super League will wrap up on December 16, coinciding with the IPL auction, and the group-toppers will meet in the final on December 18.
