Bangladesh have included uncapped wicket-keeper batter Mahidul Islam Ankon in their squad for the first two T20Is against Ireland. There's also a recall for all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin in the 15-man squad led by Litton Das.
Ankon, 26, made his Test debut against South Africa in 2024 but hasn't played in the format since. He recently made his ODI debut against West Indies last month, scoring 46, 17 and 6 in the three matches.
Saifuddin, in turn, missed out on selection against West Indies after the regular skipper returned to the side at his expense.
Taskin Ahmed and Shamim Hossain have not been picked.
Full squad: Litton Kumer Das (Captain), Saif Hassan (Vice Captain), Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, Nurul Hasan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin
The series will be played in Chattogram, with the three matches scheduled on November 27, 29 and December 2.
