Northern Superchargers Women delivered a clinical home performance to defeat Welsh Fire Women by 47 runs at Headingley, marking their perfect start to The Hundred 2025 campaign. Georgia Wareham, with an all-round show, was the architect of their win.

Skipper Hollie Armitage led from the front with an unbeaten 34, anchoring the Superchargers' innings with a composed knock that provided the foundation for their competitive total. The Australian contingent made valuable contributions, with Annabel Sutherland scoring 28 and Georgia Wareham finishing unbeaten on 29. Wareham's late flourish alongside Armitage proved particularly valuable, as the pair maximized the final phase of their innings.

For Welsh Fire, Hayley Matthews was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-18. However, the Fire attack couldn't prevent the home side from posting a total that would prove more than adequate. Welsh Fire's reply got off to a disastrous start as key batters Sophia Dunkley and Hayley Matthews were dismissed with the score still in single figures. This early damage left the visitors facing an uphill task that they never managed to overcome.

Tammy Beaumont top-scored for Fire with 36 as she attempted to rebuild the innings. Georgia Elwiss provided valuable support, but the damage inflicted by the early wickets proved too significant to overcome. The Superchargers' bowling attack was clinical throughout, maintaining pressure and never allowing Fire to build momentum with Wareham striking twice.
