Texas Super Kings' unbeaten run in the ongoing season of MLC came to an end on Friday against the rampaging San Francisco Unicorns. A two-day break might serve them well, but they are about to come face-to-face with Washington Freedom, a team that is picking up pace after a stuttered start to their campaign, and threatening to seriously contest for a place in the top-two.

Freedom, the defending champions, are yet to field their best XI, with the New Zealand duo Glenn Philips and Lockie Ferguson, yet to take the field for them this season. Yet, the convincing victories over Seattle Orcas and Los Angeles Knight Riders, backed up by a more competitive fight against MI New York has put them on a three-match victory run that threatens to last longer, with all their batters yet to find their top rhythm.

Super Kings, despite having lost only one game so far in the tournament, would be aware that their thin bowling attack could be tested against more dominant teams, but it remains to be seen how quick would they be able to adapt to change that strategy in their bid to remain in the top two.

When:Sunday, June 23, 2025, 5:30 AM IST / 7:00 PM Local Time (June 22)

Where: Washington Freedom vs Texas Super Kings, Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas

What to expect: High scoring encounters have been the trend at the venue so far this season, and that's unlikely to change.

Team News:

Washington Freedom: There is no news on the availability of Glenn Philips and Lockie Ferguson as yet. If they continue to be unavailable, Freedom are unlikely to make a change.

Probable XI: Mitchell Owen, Rachin Ravindra, Andries Gous, Mark Chapman, Jack Edwards, Glenn Maxwell, Obus Pienaar, Mukhtar Ahmed, Mark Adair, Ian Holland, Saurabh Netrawalkar

Texas Super Kings: There might be enough reasons for TSK to strengthen their bowling attack after loss in the last game, and maybe go a little light on the batting department which has been in good form.

Probable XI:Devon Conway, Faf du Plessis, Sai Teja Mukkamalla, Marcus Stoinis, Daryl Mitchell, Calvin Savage, Shubham Ranjane, Mohammad Mohsin, Noor Ahmad, Adam Milne, Zia ul Haq
