After a rather frenetic start with the bat that the Lucknow Super Giants managed, the script seemed all too familiar briefly for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a home game. Would they be able to keep the opposition down to a chaseable total was the looming question. After conceding 32 in their first three overs, for a while that question seemed to be getting a quick answer.
The pitch, not too dissimilar to the other surfaces so far at the venue this season, was a little sticky. When the likes of Yash Dayal, with his change of pace, or Glenn Maxwell got it to stop on the surface it seemed like they were finally finding a way to make their presence felt on what has been a traditionally difficult ground to bowl in.
