Western Australia vs Victoria
Western Australia decimate Victoria to ensure home final

Western Australia decimated Victoria by an innings and 51 runs on the third day and will now be hosting the final against the same side next week. It's the first time since 1997-98 that they have won the hosting rights for the Shield final. Victoria went into the day at 82 for 5, still needing a further 141 runs to make the hosts bat again. But shortly after lunch, they crumbled to an innings loss, losing their last five wickets for only 90 runs. Joel Paris set the tone early for WA, striking with the eighth ball of the day. Aaron Hardie, who picked four wickets in the first innings, also contributed with 2 for 46 in the second innings. As Matt Short held fort at one end, Lance Morris razed through the line-up and claimed the last three wickets.
