Hayley Matthews played a key role in West Indies surprising New Zealand in the opening match of the Women's World Cup but it was Deandra Dottin's final over that ensured the game the Caribbean side's way despite the hosts needing only six in the final over. It was Shakera Selman who was supposed to bowl the final over but Dottin walked up to skipper Stafanie Taylor and insisted that she be given the ball for the final over, revealed Matthews after the game.
