Sri Lanka register first bilateral series win over India in 13 years

2008 The last time Sri Lanka beat India in a bilateral series across formats. Sri Lanka beat India in a three-Test series 2-1 at home then. In the 20 bilateral rubbers since till this T20I series (one-off matches included), India went on to win as many as 18, including all of the last 13, with two ending in stalemates. It was also Sri Lanka's first bilateral T20I series win against India in eight attempts.
81/8 is the lowest T20I total by a Full Member team batting first and batting out their entire quota of 20 overs. The previous lowest was Zimbabwe's 93/8 against South Africa in Hambantota during T20 World Cup in 2012. The only instance of a Full Member side scoring fewer when they batted out all 20 overs was West Indies' 79/7 in a chase of 106 against Zimbabwe in Port of Spain in 2010.
