1988 The last time Australia lost a Test at the Gabba - against West Indies. In the period since, Australia played 31 Tests, winning 24 and drawing seven before this loss. The only other side to remain unbeaten in more successive Tests at a venue is Pakistan at the National Stadium in Karachi between 1955 and 2000. It is also the first time Australia have lost at the Gabba after taking the first innings lead.
