That's it, it is all over

Once Pakistan put 194 on the board, Australia were always going to have it tough unless Aaron Finch went bonkers again. But as luck would have it, Finch didn't fire and the untested middle-order crumbled under pressure to fall well short of their target. Earlier, Pakistan rode high on Fakhar Zaman's 73, before being provided the late-order fillip by Asif Ali who contributed with an 18-ball 37 to ensure they scored their highest T20I total against Australia.

Hope you enjoyed the game. Tomorrow we shall be back with all the action from the game between Australia and Zimbabwe. Until then, be well!

Pakistan win by 45 runs and will take the confidence forward into the final

Too much for Carey to do?

Once Australia were 5 down on 75, it was going to be very difficult to get 120-odd runs from the remaining eight overs, that without much batting to follow. Stoinis got a couple of fours but Alex Carey kept the Australians interested for a bit, if not with hopes of a win, at least some entertainment value.

Two fours and two sixes but in his 24-ball 37 took Australia to almost 150, but as they say, a 40-odd run defeat as per T20 standards, is a little too much.

'Short' of imagination

This is not the D'Arcy Short we were enchanted by in the Big Bash. Short of ideas clearly, another sluggish start and he's bound to go after the pacers to up the ante. That though was a mindless slog and he has his stumps flying out of its groove.

Mad cricket from Maddinson

No sighters whatsoever, just a mad dash down the wicket to a spinner of Shadab Khan's class. Misses out on the swing and the 'keeper does the rest. He's stumped and by some distance.

Back-to-back wickets and Australia are struggling

First, Head. No feet at all as he tries to crash it through the covers, big inside edge and Head dragged it back onto the stumps. Maxwell follows him in the next over, in similar fashion. Hardly any foot movement and he too drags it onto the stumps. Australia are struggling. Just wonder how untested the middle order was thanks to Finch's red-hot form at the top.

Afridi is in, Finch is out

Can you believe it? The young man is running all over the Harare Sports Club at the moment. It is his first game in this series and he has made the biggest move already. Having struck two fours already, Finch decides to put pressure on the young Shaheen Afridi and takes him for four off the first ball he bowls. Next delivery, he's gone.

That ball jagged back in as Finch looked to clip it on the onside, however, a thin edge went straight to Sarfraz. Pakistan know that they have Australia thinking rightaway...
