Grant Bradburn, the former New Zealand spinner and current head coach of the Scotland national team, has pleaded with the head honchos at ICC to help facilitate continuous development of the associate nations after the World Cup Qualifiers presented a good picture of these teams' abilities to compete at a high level.

In a heartfelt note shared on Twitter, Bradburn listed out pressing concerns emanating out of the qualifier tournament, an event despite its absorbing contests has not managed to graduate any associate member nations to next year's 50-over World Cup at England.
The restructuring of the World Cup has been heavily criticised since it was announced in 2015, that it would be cut from 14 teams to 10 - meaning there was only two places up for grabs at the Qualifiers - dutifully taken by the Windies and Afghanistan after heartbreaks for Scotland and Zimbabwe.
