Dwayne Bravo to Daniel Sams, out Caught by Ben Dunk!! Bravo deserved that wicket. He's been impressive without anything in the wicket column. This was full and outside off, Sams backed away and then had to reach out to make connection, only a toe-end and Ben Dunk does the rest behind. Daniel Sams c Ben Dunk b Dwayne Bravo 34(21) [4s-1 6s-2]

Stoinis to Jason Sangha, FOUR, good end to the over. 17 runs off it. Drifts on the pads and that is easy pickings, Sangha flicks it over short fine leg and picks up another boundary
18.5
6
Stoinis to Jason Sangha, SIX, another full toss just below the waist and in the swinging arc, Sangha gives it his all and thumps it to cow corner. Makes enough connection to clear the boundary rope

M
Stoinis to Jason Sangha, FOUR, maiden BBL fifty for Sangha. He raises the bat to all corners to acknowledge the applause. Handshake from Sams as well. Offers width on the slower delivery and Sangha crashes it square on the off-side giving sweeper no chance
16.5
Zampa to Daniel Sams, 1 run, dropped! Stars have been sloppy in the field. That is putting it mildly. Quicker, shorter and outside off, Sams can't ride the bounce and slices the cut to short third man, Lamichhane moves to his right and puts in the dive, can't clutch the ball and it rolls away behind him
16.2
Zampa to Daniel Sams, 1 run, the 50-run stand has come up in quick time. Zampa not giving Sams the room to free his arms, heaved along the ground off the inner portion of the bat to deep backward square
15.5
6
Beer to Daniel Sams, SIX, another biggie! Beer is getting predictable - he's darting 'em in, Sams moves inside the line and picks it away nonchalantly over long leg. Short square boundaries and it clears them comfortably
15.3
6
Beer to Daniel Sams, SIX, proper connection and half a dozen. Fired in at the stumps, Sams clears his front leg and has a clean swing of the bat, right off the meat and the ball sails over cow corner
15.2
4
Beer to Daniel Sams, FOUR, dropped! Larkin at it again. Sams is going after every delivery. He does not get the distance on the loft and Larkin at long-on makes a complete mess of it, he jumps up and goes with one-hand, the ball hits his palm and lobs over him, bounces inside the rope before rolling over
14.1
Maxwell to Daniel Sams, 2 runs, dropped! Maxwell should have had a first-ball wicket. Sams goes for the big hit down the ground, miscues it completely towards long-on and Larkin misjudges - he felt the ball would carry to him and was late to run forward, by the time he did the ball was dipping in front of him and he got only a fingertip to it
13.3
6
Lamichhane to Jason Sangha, SIX, this was a miscue but the youngster won't mind. He's playing a gem here. Not all that short this time and hence the top-edge on the pull shot, the ball has enough to clear deep square leg
13.1
6
Lamichhane to Jason Sangha, SIX, Sangha is picking the length so well. This was marginally short and Sangha is quick to read it, moves back and hammers the pull to deep mid-wicket. The fielder thought he was in with a chance but the ball kept sailing over him
12.5
4
Zampa to Jason Sangha, FOUR, Sangha continues to motor along.. Fraction short and he is quick to take toll, he stays leg-side of the ball and plays the cut late to get it behind point. Even the sluggish outfield can't prevent the ball from reaching the fence

W
Zampa to Root, out Caught by Ben Dunk!! Second for Zampa. All four wickets for the leggies. Root wanted to get on with things but he didn't execute the slog sweep. Crouches down but does not get under the ball to get the elevation and hence it hits the toe-end and skies straight up, Ben Dunk calls for it as it was right next to him. Easy take and the partnership is broken. Root c Ben Dunk b Zampa 18(17) [4s-1]

6
Lamichhane to Jason Sangha, SIX, all the way! Lamichhane has been quite short this over, Sangha picked the length and moved deep in the crease to play a wristy pull over deep square leg. Just about managed to clear the rope

4
Dwayne Bravo to Jason Sangha, FOUR, first boundary for Sangha. Low dipping full toss, Sangha does well to get underneath it and slice the drive square on the off-side, sweeper has no chance

4
Lamichhane to Root, FOUR, puts this half-tracker away. It was short, it was spinning down leg, just a free hit for Root who sits back and whacks this behind square

Lamichhane to Ferguson, out Caught&Bowled!! How good is that from Lamichhane! Two in the over. Brilliant bowling. This leg-break dips on Ferguson, ruining his intentions of working it through the on-side. He even tried checking his shot there, but to no avail. It spins away from him, takes the leading edge and spoons back down the pitch for the simplest of return catches. Dream start to the BBL for the 18-year old from Nepal. Ferguson c and b Lamichhane 15(11) [4s-1 6s-1]

W
Lamichhane to Watson, out Caught by Nick Larkin!! Lamichhane is over the moon, striking with his second ball on BBL debut. It's the big wicket of Watson too. Lovely flight on this delivery, lures Watson into the big hit and the googly brings about the miscue. It comes off the inside half and goes down to long-on, where Larkin jumps up for a safe overhead catch. Watson c Nick Larkin b Lamichhane 22(19) [4s-3]

6
Zampa to Ferguson, SIX, has he nailed this slog-sweep or what! That's right out the screws from Ferguson. What went in favour of him was that he was hitting with the turn, as it was the googly. Smokes it over deep midwicket
6
4
Dwayne Bravo to Ferguson, FOUR, low full toss on off, Ferguson shuffles across and flicks it nicely through midwicket. The timing on it is superb, races away

W
Zampa to Buttler, out Bowled!! Makes room again, this time he's cleaned up by the googly. Buttler lost his shape there. First he moved away from the line of it, which meant that he had to reach out for it. And it didn't look like he picked the wrong 'un either. The ball snakes past his inside edge to knock over off. Buttler b Zampa 20(16) [4s-2 6s-1]

Coleman to Buttler, FOUR, back of a length outside off, that's gloriously driven off the back foot, although I'm not too sure about the fielding effort there. Once it went through the infield though, it reached the boundary in a hurry
3.3
4
Coleman to Buttler, FOUR, short of length again, now he drags the pull away through midwicket. Not as well timed, but it's far enough in front of square to beat the fielder in the deep
3.2
6
Coleman to Buttler, SIX, that's a thunderous pull from Jos Buttler. Phew. Short of length at the waist, he whacks it over square leg. Hardly went over 10 feet from the ground, flat six
2.5
4
Beer to Watson, FOUR, full ball outside off, no spin from Beer who's not looking to turn the ball either. He's just firing it through. Watson bends his back knee, he's able to get under it nicely as he smacks it over the covers
1.5
4
Coleman to Watson, FOUR, went for the off-cutter, but provided Watson with a lot of width. It was quite short too. Watson camps back and laces this back-cut past backward point

Beer to Watson, FOUR, drills this hard to mid-off, it bounced awkwardly just in front of the fielder and then snuck through him. Probably should have got his body behind it, but it wasn't very comfortably as Watson had struck it really hard
