W
Dillon Heyliger to Kavem Hodge, out Caught by (sub)Siddle!! Can't get under the length, but commits to his front leg cleared hoick into cow corner. Mistimed, gets the elevation and couldn't have found long-on better. Bs wheels are falling off here in the death. Kavem Hodge c (sub)Siddle b Dillon Heyliger 13(12) [4s-1 6s-1]
16.4
4
Narine to Kavem Hodge, FOUR, down leg. Hodge sweeps, and short fine leg lets it go through his legs. Well, well .. some free runs these
16.1
6
Narine to Kavem Hodge, SIX, big stride down, gets to the pitch of it and tonks it over. Long-on's waiting, but he'll stay a spectator
16
W
C Pervez to F Allen, out Bowled!! Stops following him and bowls it dead straight at the stumps. Allen continues making room, heaves across the line, misses on the under-half .. and cleaned up with the off-pole taking a serious beating. F Allen b C Pervez 11(7) [4s-1 6s-1]
15.5
4
C Pervez to F Allen, FOUR, gets some bat. Another pin-point yorker, Allen swings, gets an inside edge and just about guides it between his legs and his stumps
15.3
6
C Pervez to F Allen, SIX, oh brute. Allen rocks forward, clears room and swats. Hard. Flat. Into deep square leg's roof. But why bowl this length when the yorkers were working just fine
14.2
W
Lamichhane to Shamar Springer, out Caught by Worker!! In. Out. Poor Worker almost makes a mess of another catch, just about snatching the juggler. Springer slices it up high, with the bat face turning in his palm to deny him any distance and long-off runs in, slides and holds on. Shamar Springer c Worker b Lamichhane 62(40) [4s-7 6s-3]
14.1
4
Lamichhane to Shamar Springer, FOUR, sharp spin outside off, Springer first lines up to launch it somewhere, and then pulls out. Eventually manages a tickle in the process, running away through the empty cordon
14
W
C Pervez to Anthony Bramble, out Lbw!! It was coming. Bramble gets itchy, wants to go big like he has wanted to all through his painful little stay and walks outside the crease in attempting to heave it across the line. Misses all ends up and is struck on the front leg bang in front of off. Well appeals don't get easier for umpires. Anthony Bramble lbw b C Pervez 4(6)
13.1
4
C Pervez to Shamar Springer, FOUR, fat outside-half, in an attempt to slice it away gets it at least a right angle too fine for his liking
13
Lamichhane to Anthony Bramble, 2 runs, top-edges a sweep. High. High. Worker at mid-off settles under the swirler, and makes a complete mess of the catch
12.3
4
Lamichhane to Anthony Bramble, leg byes, FOUR, loud appeal. Bramble presses forward to defence, does it outside the line and takes it on his front pad .. which is outside the line of off too. The keeper meanwhile is busy appealing, and lets it go through
12.2
W
Lamichhane to Pooran, out Caught by Worker!! The googly does him in. Quite short enough down the pitch and Pooran reads it well too, going back in the crease, but doesn't get enough wood in his attempt to drag his heave. Very toe-ended as he ends up finding long-on to perfection. Pooran c Worker b Lamichhane 25(26) [4s-1 6s-2]
12.1
6
Lamichhane to Pooran, SIX, quickly down on a knee, using the flight that dips in his hitting zone to smash it into the tree over long-on. Bring out that bag of balls
11.1
F
Malinga to Shamar Springer, 1 run, too straight. Easily clipped away behind square
10.5
4
Dillon Heyliger to Pooran, FOUR, neat. Opens up his bat face, letting the line get close outside off to steer it down behind point, where third man is way too fine
10.3
F
Dillon Heyliger to Shamar Springer, legbyes, 1 run, on the hop, helping the back of a length line on the legs with the angle behind square
8.4
Raza to Shamar Springer, 1 run, smacks this short one off his back foot, through covers for a single
8.3
4
Raza to Shamar Springer, FOUR, sheer power on that. A full and quick delivery around off, Springer takes a forward stride and slams it right past the bowler. 14 runs already
8.2
4
Raza to Shamar Springer, FOUR, four more! Flatter delivery aroudn off, Springer stays in his crease and clobbers this one through mid-wicket. This is carnage by the young West Indian!
8.1
6
Raza to Shamar Springer, SIX, the previous over was a maiden. But it hasn't made any difference to Springer. He continues to march on. Gets down on his knee and smokes the tossed up delivery right over the bowler's head. Can't hit it any straighter.
7
6
Dillon Heyliger to Shamar Springer, SIX, that's a tennis like shot! New ball please. We are quite used to this now. This was a shortish delivery around off, Springer stands tall and with a powerful forehand smokes it over long-on. How powerful is this guy! Made it look so effortless.
6.4
4
Dillon Heyliger to Shamar Springer, FOUR, another incredbile shot! Shortish delivery around off, Springer stays back in his crease and flat bats it over mid-on with sheer power. Again only one bounce as the ball finds the fence
6.3
4
Dillon Heyliger to Shamar Springer, FOUR, that went miles up in the air. Short and wide outside off, Springer reaches for it and plays the upper cut. Gets the desired connection as the ball skies up towards third man. The fielder there tried hard to reach and grab it but failed in his quest. One bounce into the fence
5.3
6
Narine to Pooran, SIX, have we lost the ball? A tossed up delivery around off, Pooran reaches for it with an extended loft and clears the long-off fence easily. That had elevation, that had the distance too. Fine shot!
3.2
4
C Pervez to Shamar Springer, FOUR, that's an excellent shot by young Springer. Gets hold of the short delivery and clubs it over long-on. One bounce and into the fence as the fielder in the dug-out grabs it in his right hand
2.5
W
Lamichhane to B King, out Bowled!! Another googly, and this time around the batsman has to walk back. King struggled to read the googly on the first occasion too. This pitched on off and King was on his back foot to play the cut shot. However, the gets undone by the spin and loses his stumps. King walks back after an entertaining cameo. B King b Lamichhane 23(10) [4s-5]
2.3
4
Lamichhane to B King, FOUR, hat-trick of boundaries by King. He's taking on the leggie, his intentions are quite clearly. A full and tossed up delivery outside off, King opens the face of his bat early and chips it over covers. Three consecutive boundaries and Lamicchane needs to bowl a wrong 'un after being hammered in the first three balls
2.2
4
Lamichhane to B King, FOUR, two in two! A touch short outside off, King is quick to camp back and punch it firmly through the gap at extra-cover. The spinner won't like this
2.1
4
Lamichhane to B King, FOUR, the leggie from Nepal is welcomed into the attack with a boundary too. A tossed up delivery on middle and leg, King holds his ground and clubs it over long-on. A bounce and over the fence
2
6
C Pervez to Shamar Springer, SIX, Springer joins the party. He saw King going all guns blazing from the other end and that has rubbed on to him too. Picks the bones out of the length ball and sends it sailing over long-on for the first maximum of the match. Connection was the key on this and it came right of the meat
1.4
4
C Pervez to B King, FOUR, stand and deliver! Receives a length delivery right in the slot. King eyes the mid-wicket boundary and clobbers this one past the fielder manning the boundary.
1
4
Malinga to B King, FOUR, smaaashed! King's off the mark in style. This was slightly wide outside off but as it was short in length King had no trouble to put it away. Reaches for it with minimum footwork and cuts it past the fielder at point. First boundary of the match comes from King's blade
0.4
W
Malinga to Rutherford, out Bowled!! That was unplayable. It's quite difficult to pick up those yorkers as Malinga bowls with a slingy action. This was quick and right into the blockhole. Rutherford was a touch late in getting his bat down as the ball sneaked through and took down the off-pole. This is what he's been doing right throughout the tournament. Gets another wicket in the first over of the match. Rutherford b Malinga 2(4)
