Corbin Bosch to James Neesham, FOUR, New Zealand finish on 175. Bosch misses the yorker and feeds it in the slot, Neesham does not miss out, with mid-off inside the ring, he pumps it down the ground and the ball bounces just once before crossing the rope
19.5
4
Corbin Bosch to James Neesham, FOUR, not off the middle but it does not matter. Full toss around off, Neesham drags it off the inner half backward of square leg. Rabada runs across and dives but fails to make the stop
18.5
4
Marco Jansen to James Neesham, FOUR, much needed boundary. Neesham shuffles across, gets inside the line of the short of length delivery and laps it fine - right between de Kock and short fine. Not off the middle but that's the reason it was in the gap
17.3
4
Kagiso Rabada to Matt Henry, FOUR, streaky! But New Zealand will take them any which way. Short of length delivery, but there's width and Henry throws his bat on the slash, the outside edge flies away fine to third man
17.2
Kagiso Rabada to James Neesham, 1 run, slower ball on off, Neesham pats it with soft hands to point and crosses over

Corbin Bosch to Mitchell Santner, out Caught by Ryan Rickelton!! The innings is coming apart. From 138/4 to 145/7. Santner never quite looked comfortable. He was kept quiet by Maharaj and now perishes to Bosch. Fullish delivery at the stumps, Santner stays leg-side and opens the bat face, slices the loft over backward point and Rickelton gets around to his left, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a good catch. That was not easy but he managed to cling on with both hands. Mitchell Santner c Ryan Rickelton b Corbin Bosch 4(10)

Lungi Ngidi to Daryl Mitchell, out Caught by Tristan Stubbs!! This is excellent captaincy from Markram. He got Maharaj back as soon as Chapman was dismissed, got a quiet over in and that put pressure on New Zealand batters. Then gets Ngidi back to keep the pressure up and that results in Mitchell attempting a big shot, he does not middle it and holes out to long-on. Fullish delivery angled in, Mitchell tries his go-to shot - down the ground, but hits it straight down Stubbs' throat. Both set batters gone and plenty of time left in the innings. Daryl Mitchell c Tristan Stubbs b Lungi Ngidi 32(24) [4s-2 6s-1]

Marco Jansen to Mark Chapman, out Caught by Ryan Rickelton!! Such a soft dismissal. The partnership has been broken. No fifty for Chapman, he falls two short. Much needed breakthrough for South Africa. 122ks slower delivery, sticks to the surface and Chapman is early into the shot, closes the bat face and the leading edge pops to backward point. Simple catch for Rickelton but he gestures that he almost lost the sight of the ball behind the lights. Nonetheless, he holds on and Jansen has a fourth. That will be drinks as well. Mark Chapman c Ryan Rickelton b Marco Jansen 48(26) [4s-6 6s-2]
13.3
Marco Jansen to Mark Chapman, no run, direct hit and Chapman was gone. Jansen spears it into the blockhole, Chapman brings his bat down and squeezes it off the inside edge. He does not know where the ball went and sets off, Rickelton collects it at short fine and has a shy at the striker's end, Chapman was not even in the frame as the ball passed the stumps. Hang on! South Africa have reviewed. But this came off the bat. Couple of replays are enough for the third umpire to make the decision. Review lost..

4
Marco Jansen to Mark Chapman, FOUR, Chapman is dealing in boundaries.. 3 in his last 4 balls. Fraction short and ample width on offer, Chapman opens the bat face and carves it backward of point. No stopping that

Aiden Markram to Mark Chapman, SIX, lovely, Chapman shimmies down the wicket, gets to the half-volley and then brings his wrists into play on the lofted on-drive, sends it soaring into the stands at long-on

10.5
4
Corbin Bosch to Daryl Mitchell, FOUR, nicely played, the slower ball from Bosch and Mitchell picked the change in pace - leans forward, high elbow and a straight bat as he drove it over mid-off. The fielder chases and drags the ball onto the ropes with the slide

4
Keshav Maharaj to Mark Chapman, FOUR, that's a top efforf from Brevis at deep mid-wicket, but he can't complete the catch and he couldn't stop the boundary either - dropped short abd Chapman rocked back on the pull over the on-side - Brevis made a lot of ground, running across from deep mid-wicket, threw himself at the ball, got both hands and couldn't hold on. The ball then trickles onto the ropes
7.4
4
Corbin Bosch to Daryl Mitchell, FOUR, clubbed, fuller length delivery outside off - was a cross-seam delivery, but it's right in the slot for the right-hander. Mitchell clears his front-leg, opens himself and lifts it back over mid-off, one bounce and over the ropes

Keshav Maharaj to Glenn Phillips, out Bowled!! Another loose drive and New Zealand are squandering a good start - nicely tossed up outside off ad GP was looking to play the expansive drive, he's stayed leg-side of the ball and looks to place the drive square on the off-side - the ball finds the inside edge and bounces back onto the stumps. The zing bails light up and New Zealand are in a heap of trouble now. Glenn Phillips b Keshav Maharaj 1(3)
6.2
4
Keshav Maharaj to Mark Chapman, FOUR, nicely played, tossed up well outside off - Chapman gets across, rolled his wr9ists over the sweep and places it powerfully past mid-wicket, beats the fielder in the deep
5.5
W
Marco Jansen to Finn Allen, out Caught by Aiden Markram!! Caught at mid-off, they're losing far too many wickets and with some poor shots - loopy slower ball outside off, floats across the right-hander and Allen can't resist the big drive. He's rooted to the crease though, can't quite get under the drive and chips it uppishly towards mid-off. The ball was dropping onto him, but Markram dives forward, does so with soft hands and completes a fine catch. Finn Allen c Aiden Markram b Marco Jansen 31(17) [4s-4 6s-2]
5.2
W
Marco Jansen to Rachin Ravindra, out Caught by David Miller!! That's a sharp catch at short third and New Zealand have lost their second wicket. On a length and in that channel wide of off, Rachin pushed at that with hard hands, doesn't cover for the movement and the thick outside edge flies to the right of short third - Miller moves to his right, stays low, went with soft hands and grabs a fine catch. The players will take drinks after a rather frenetic first 5+ overs. Rachin Ravindra c David Miller b Marco Jansen 13(8) [4s-1 6s-1]
5.1
6
Marco Jansen to Rachin Ravindra, SIX, cheeky and six, short of a length and just outside off - the angle was comig back into the left-hander, so Rachin moves across, uses the pace on the ball and paddles it over long leg for a maximum

3.5
6
Marco Jansen to Finn Allen, SIX, top-edge and six, banged in short and at the right-hander - Allen swivels across and went for the pull, didn't bother to keep it down - the ball kept Stubbs very interested at deep backward square leg, but the shot has enough power to drop over his head
3.4
4
Marco Jansen to Finn Allen, FOUR, streaky and four, back of a length and angling across the right-hander, Allen did try to run it down with an open face, but this is a genuine edge and the ball flies off the bat, past Ngidi's dive at short third
3.2
W
Marco Jansen to Tim Seifert, out Caught by Quinton de Kock!! Top-edge and caught! Banged in short by Jansen, Seifert backed away on the cut, gets a thin top-edge and Quinton de Kock does the rest. It's that extra bounce that Jansen procures which has resulted in a dismissal - the tournament's top-scorer got a start, but nothing more from Seifert tonight. Tim Seifert c Quinton de Kock b Marco Jansen 13(9) [4s-1 6s-1]
