It's tossed up on leg-stump, Brook gets forward to loft and does not get the elevation, but places it, Jansen runs to his right, slides on his knees and keeps his eyes on the ball, takes a fine catch with two hands and that's the end of a poor tournament for the generational talent. Mulder to Root, SIX, what a blow. This was the shot he was aiming for the second-last ball, short of length on off, stump-high and Root swivels to pull over the deep square-leg fielder, flew over his head, great connection on the shot, the weight was on the front foot and he got it from there

Rabada to Brook, FOUR, crunched! Brook uses his feet and moves leg-side in the process. He smashes it through covers. The ball reaches the fence at the rate of knots. That was bowled at 146kph and left even at a quicker pace off the bat

Marco Jansen to Duckett, out Caught&Bowled!! Marco Jansen gets a 3-fer! He has a beaming smile on his face! Usually Duckett is so good off his pads but this time he plays a false stroke and pays the price for it. A length ball angling down leg, Duckett tries to play his favoured flick shot once again but is early into it this tiime. Ends up getting a leading edge. Marco Jansen on his followthrough does well to steady himself and stretches out both his hands to his left to take a well-judged catch. These catches are not that easy. Marco Jansen to Duckett, FOUR, if you bowl at the pads, Duckett will punish you all day! Full ball swinging down leg, Duckett flicks it with good timing through backward square leg. The fielder in the deep moves to his left but has no chance to cut it off

Ngidi to Duckett, 3 runs, back of a length ball outside off, Duckett punches it through point. Stubbs hares after it and slides to cut it off near the fence. The batters take the call to go for the third but Root is clearly struggling. Good game awareness from Stubbs to take his time and fire in a good throw at the bowler's end. Ngidi is not upto the stumps. Markram from mid-on charges in and collects the ball and tries to flick it back onto the stumps but misses. Root might have been in even if he hit. But, the thing is if Ngidi was near the stumps, Root would have been short. Ngidi was standing mid-way down the pitch

Marco Jansen to Jamie Smith, out Caught by Markram!! The short ball does the trick again! Marco Jansen is cock-a-hoop! He steams in and digs it into the surface around off. He once again extracts extra bounce off the surface to put Jamie Smith into a tangle. Smith gets rushed and is also cramped for space but goes for the pull across the line and ends up getting a top-edge. Markram at mid-on moves across to his right and takes an easy catch.
