Rain stopped the start of the game just as the teams walked out to the ground.

When the game eventually began, Ishan Kishan hit two sixes off Keshav Maharaj before getting cleaned up by a Lungi Ngidi slower ball.

Lungi Ngidi added the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad as India were reduced to 27/2.

Rain returned and overstayed its welcome, forcing the abandonment of the match. The series ended 2-2.

South Africa haven't lost a white-ball series in India since 2011.
