India ended up wasting two reviews while there were signs of turn and bounce on the surface.

India eventually broke the partnership as Nadeem got rid of Stokes.

Ollie Pope was then involved in another fruitful stand with Root.

Root went on to register another double century.

India finally made breakthroughs in the final session.

Ishant Sharma struck twice in two deliveries but England finished day 2 at 555/8.
