India vs England, 1st Test - Day 2

Ravindra Jadeja struck twice soon after Lunch to bring India back into the contest

Ben Stokes continued to play fancy strokes enroute his fourth Test century. He became the third English player to score a ton in the innings as England reached 537 before getting bowled out.

Moeen Ali, after looking comfortable in the middle, misjudged the line and was bowled by Mohammed Shami. The Indian pacer struck twice in the first session.

Ben Stokes attacked the Indian spinners and pacers early on in the day. He played attacking strokes and hit over the top time and again to ensure England's dominance.

India got off to a confident start as Gautam Gambhir and Murali Vijay put on an unbeaten 60-run stand for the opening wicket before Stumps.

Jonny Bairstow provided able support to Ben Stokes as the duo put on a 99-run stand for the sixth wicket.

Moeen Ali brought up his fourth Test ton in the first over of the day. It was his maiden century outside home.
