Zimbabwe vs New Zealand, 2nd Test - Day 2

Ross Taylor became the third player to score a century in the innings, after Tom Latham and Kane Williamson. It was his 15th Test ton.

Zimbabwe got off to a sedate start, but did well to not lose any wicket in the final session of play. Tino Mawoyo (above) and Chamu Chibaba did well to put on an unbeaten 55-run stand for the opening wicket. Zimbabwe trail New Zealand by 527 runs.

New Zealand declared their innings at Tea, having posted a mammoth total of 582 for 4

New Zealand lost two wickets with Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls falling early. However, BJ Watling (above) and Ross Taylor did well to ensure New Zealand's dominance in the match. they put on an unbeaten 193-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Resuming on the overnight score of 95, Kane Williamson brought up his century early in the day. He became the youngest and fastest batsman to score centuries against all nations in Tests. There were no aggressive celebrations, just the raising of bat and acknowledgement of the applause.
