IPL 2015: DD vs CSK, Match 49

After deciding to bat on a tricky pitch in Raipur, Chennai Super Kings lost Brendon McCullum to Zaheer Khan in the sixth over. JP Duminy took a simple catch at mid-off. McCullum made 11 off 21 balls. CSK made 16 for 1 in the Powerplay, the third lowest total ever scored from the first six overs in IPL history.

In the next over, offspinner Jayant Yadav tempted Suresh Raina to hit straight into the hands of Duminy at cover.

Zaheer's 2 for 9 were his most economical figures in the tournament ever.

MS Dhoni and Faf du Plessis added 37 for the fourth wicket to bring some stability to the CSK innings. Du Plessis top-scored with 29, while Dhoni made 27. CSK eventually finished on 119 for 6.

Iyer remained unbeaten on 70 off 49 balls to seal a six-wicket win for Delhi Daredevils. It was CSK's fifth defeat in 13 matches.

In the ninth over, Albie Morkel removed Dwayne Smith for 18 to deal CSK a second blow.

Quiton De Kock departed early for 3 off the bowling of Ishwar Pandey.

Duminy was next to go. His wicket for six reduced Delhi to 24 for 2 in the fifth over.

However, Shreyas Iyer and Yuvraj Singh added 69 for the third wicket to put Delhi Daredevils' chase back on track.

Pawan Negi removed Yuvraj for a 28-ball 32. Negi also accounted for Albie Morkel.
