After Sunrisers Hyderabad elected to bat in Raipur, Shikhar Dhawan fell to Zaheer Khan. He made 13 in the 29-run stand with David Warner.

Two balls later, Warner was removed by Nathan Coulter-Nile. He made 17.

Moises Henriques shored up the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings with a 46-ball 74*.

Henriques and Ravi Bopara added 64 for the fifth wicket to take the team to 163 for 4.

Coulter-Nile, returning after a rest of one game, turned in 2 for 25 to be the best Delhi Daredevils bowler.

However, despite Jadahv and Saurabh Tiwary's efforts, Delhi Daredevils fell short by six runs. With an eighth defeat in 12 matches, the hosts' play-off hopes went to pieces.

With Delhi Daredevils reeling at 66 for 4, Kedar Jadhav took charge of the chase and scored his first fifty this season to keep his team alive in the chase.

Playing his first game this season, Quinton de Kock scored a 31-ball 50 to help Delhi Daredevils recover from an early loss of Shreyas Iyer.

However, a collapse set back the chase greatly. Parvez Rasool played his part in the collapse with the wicket of Yuvraj Singh.

Karn Sharma cleaned up JP Duminy to put Sunrisers Hyderabad in the driver's seat.
