Dwarshuis to Michael Bracewell, out Michael Bracewell Run Out!! 2 runs completed. the slower ball from Dwarshuis - Michael Bracewell swings hard and slices a thick outside edge over cover, three men converge and the two batters try to steal a third run, it was never on and New Zealand's stand-in captain didn't stand a chance of beating the throw, at least he's ensured that Tim Robinson will be on strike for the next ball. Michael Bracewell run out (Matthew Short/Dwarshuis) 7(4)
Bartlett to Tim Robinson, out Bevon Jacobs Run Out!! 2 runs completed. Excellent cricket all-around and Bevon Jacobs has been runout at the striker's end - Bartlett saw Robinson backing away and followed him with a superb yorker, the right-hander somehow gets his bat down and squeezes it behind square on the on-side - the ball was racing away to the ropes, but Stoinis gets across from the deep, makes a one-handed stop and pick-up and then lobs it to Head - who then turns around and fires an accurate throw to the keeper with Carey doing the rest - Bevon Jacobs was running back for the third, put in the big dive, but he's found himself a yard short of the crease. Bevon Jacobs run out (Stoinis/Head/Carey) 20(21) [4s-1]
Matthew Short to Mitchell, out Caught by Tim David!! This is a straightforward catch and Tim David takes it with ease at long-on - was pushed through quicker by Short, Mitchell backed away on the lofted drive, but he doesn't get the power behind the shot, hit it very high and right down long-on's throat - the partnership has been broken and Australia will heave a sigh of relief. Mitchell c Tim David b Matthew Short 34(23) [4s-3 6s-1]
Dwarshuis to Chapman, out Caught by Carey!! Golden duck for Mark Chapman. Good length swinging down the leg-side, Chapman looks to tickle and gets a tiny feather of an inside edge to the keeper. There was an appeal from the keeper and bowler but both weren't too sure. Mitch Marsh had a word with the duo and went upstairs and it proved to be an excellent review from the Aussies. Chapman c Carey b Dwarshuis 0(1)
Dwarshuis to Conway, out Bowled!! The middle stump goes for a walk. Second time a batter who charged down the track got dismissed. Dwarshuis bowled it full and attacked the stumps, There was a hint of inward movement too. Conway was on the move and couldn't get anywhere near the line of the delivery. Beaten all ends up and saw his middle stump shattered. New Zealand in trouble early on. Conway b Dwarshuis 1(2)
Hazlewood to Seifert, out Caught by Mitchell Marsh!! No timing on this one. 132ks touch shorter than the fuller length outside off, Seifert goes charging down the wicket and fails to get the desired timing on the slap drive. Skews it off the bottom half of the bat and gives catching practice to the Australian skipper at mid-off. Seifert c Mitchell Marsh b Hazlewood 4(3) [4s-1]
