Born in a sporting family, Dylan Hondo is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler. Both his elder brothers - Douglas and Daniel have represented the country in Cricket and Rugby respectively. Like Douglas, Dylan has given precedence to cricket.
A product of Churchill, Dylan took a liking to the sport at a very young age. He came through the ranks of school cricket and has been part of the Zimbabwean U-19 World Cup team in 2014. Walter Chawaguta, who was the coach of the colts rates the youngster highly.
Dylan transformed into a fine all-rounder after the World Cup and was picked for the Zimbabwe Development XI against the Sri Lankan Emerging Players in 2016. If groomed well, the youngster has a bright future ahead.
