Irfanullah Shah is a typical Pakistani fast bowler who generates good swing and seam off the surface. He was born and brought up in Bannu District where cricketing facilities were relatively poor. He, however, has great aspirations to become a premier fast bowler for Pakistan one day.

Before he entered domestic cricket, he enjoyed great success in school and college cricket respectively. He plays T20 cricket for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd. and was a prominent member of the Pakistan team during Under - 19 World Cup in 2014.
