   Profile
Born on December 20, 1984, Santokie represented the West Indies U-15 in the CostCutter cup in England in 2000, but had to wait as long as 2007 to make his debut for Jamaica. He is seen mostly as a bowler for the shorter formats of the game and has not featured in a single FC game for Jamaica.

Santokie has made a name for himself in T20 cricket though. He took a 5-wicket haul against Trinidad and Tobago after having come in as a replacement for the injured Jerome Taylor. He ended the tournament with 10 wickets at a very respectable ER of 5.55. Santokie bowls a very full length and it is no surprise that many of his victims are clean bowled.

Santokie was handed an international T20 debut during West Indies tour of England for the two T20 matches and ended with very respectable figures of 1/17 from his four overs. Unfortunately, he was dumped soon after.

However, the inaugural version of the Caribbean Premier League that propelled him back into the limelight. Impressed with his breakers, cutters and slowish yorkers, the reigning Indian T20 champs, Mumbai Indians, signed him up for the seventh season of the T20 League. Besides, Santokie is also capable of causing the ball to nibble around at a brisk pace. Arguably, Santokie was CPL's most valuable player, capturing 16 wickets in 9 games at an impressive economy rate of 6.22

Santokie's exploits were too hot to ignore as the selectors recalled him into the T20 set up. Recently, he was in the news during the T20 Cup in Bangaldesh, where he forged a potent opening bowling combination with Samuel Badree.
