   Profile
An attacking all-rounder, Kosala Kulasekara is an example of promise unfulfilled. He has been a key performer for the Nondescripts Cricket Club
but has failed to make it count at the international level. He has played a lone Test and 4 ODIs for Sri Lanka with very little success.

He earned a call-up to the national side in 2011 on the back of some impressive all-round displays in domestic cricket. Though his hard-hitting batting hogs the limelight, he is also a nippy bowler, much like his namesake, Nuwan. His bowling truly blossomed in the 2009-10 season, where he bagged 41 scalps in the three day domestic competition. The tall Kosala has also been a crucial cog in the Ruhana machinery, more so in T20s.

Interestingly, Kosala's first love was swimming. He clinched the third place in the All Island swimming competition before switching to the gentleman's game. He progressed through age group cricket, representing Sri Lanka at the Under-17 and Under-19 levels, into the international cauldron.

Kosala though has fallen short of translating his domestic success on the big stage. The stiff competition from the likes of Thisara Perera and Nuwan Kulasekara has not helped his cause either.
