SUMMARY

A fiery fast bowler who operated primarily with the new ball, Frank King played for the West Indies in the 1950s. After a fairly impressive show in his first few series, he couldn't sustain the consistency levels and eventually ended up as an underperformer. Aggressive by nature, King loved to hurl the bouncer on a frequent basis, sometimes even making it an overdose of sorts. As his Test career went on, he found wicket-taking more difficult and ultimately got axed from the side. Injuries also played its part with muscle strains recurring quite a bit and that dampened King's fuel-tank considerably. His First-class career was comparatively better in length and success but even there, it won't be wrong to say that he underachieved, considering his potential.
