   Profile
A muscular all-rounder, Craig White shone briefly for England between 1994 and 2003. An attacking batsman, coming in at Number 7 or Number 8, White used to lash the opposition when in his groove. He was more severe against spin. He also doubled up as a bustling bowler with the special ability to reverse swing the old ball. The only issue with White was that he lacked consistency and was often carried away by over-aggression.

His most cherished moment arrived when he hit 121 against India amid sweltering heat at Ahmedabad, helping England salvage a draw. His unbeaten 85 in a rearguard action against arch-rivals, Australia, at the MCG was also nothing short of brilliant although it went in vain. After the 2003 World Cup, injuries began to take toll, forcing White to shelve his bowling. White was also the architect of several wins for Yorkshire. After retirement from all forms of competitive cricket White landed a coaching position with Hampshire Cricket Club.
