   Profile
A tall pacer, who relied on generating disconcerting bounce from a length and seam movement off the deck, Andy Caddick figured in 62 Tests and 54 ODIs for England. Currently, Caddick is placed 11th on the list of England's highest Test wicket-takers.

A New Zealander by birth, Caddick modelled his action on his hero - Richard Hadlee- and forged a threatening partnership with Darren Gough. His finest Test bowling display of 7/46 came against South Africa in Durban. He also engineered another 7-fer four years later against Australia in Sydney. However, Caddick was more of a 'mode bowler'. When in his mode, he was often unplayable but when not, he more looked clueless, bereft of a Plan-B.

Caddick called it quits on the international scene after the 2003 World Cup and a back injury. However, Caddick continued to ply his trade for Somerset until the recurrence of injuries forced him into retirement at the end of the 2009 season. In hindsight, proper injury management would have prolonged his career and perhaps multiplied his powers.
