Christopher Lamont, a left-arm orthodox bowler started his cricket career very late and made his debut at an age of 30 for Jamaica in the regional four-day competition. He made a good impression on his debut, scalping seven wickets against Windward Island at Gros Islet.

His wily left-arm-spin caught the attention of St. Lucia scouts and he was handed a CPL contract. As his first-class-debut, his CPL debut was phenomenal too. He picked up two wickets and gave just 21 runs and was named as the Man of the Match.
