 Profile
A left-handed batsman who also bowls occasional off-breaks, the 2017-18 season turned out to be the breakthrough year for the Dharwad born batsman. Always considered as a fringe player, the absence of some of Karnataka's top batsmen forced the selectors into giving a longer rope for the hard-hitting southpaw. He didn't disappoint, a slew of consistent scores during the 2017-18 edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali and the 50-overs version tournament, Vijay Hazare Trophy, helped him secure a contract with his home-based franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, during the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL)
