PLAYER OF THE MATCH
A convincing win for the Gladiators and they've two valuable points on the board. The Pindiz remain winless and will have to hope for a miracle to qualify for the playoffs. Tomorrow is another double-header day and we'll be up and early for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Saud Shakeel - We batted first and discussed what would be a good score. In 2 overs, we felt 160-165 was going to be a good score. The batters who got a start needed to go deep, it was going to be difficult for the new batter. Rilee Rossouw and I planned it the same way. Credit to Hasan Nawaz and Jahandad Khan, they capitalized on most of the opportunity. Our team's strength is spin and we added an extra spinner. We knew a good total would help us. We played a new boy and he too did well.
Mohammad Rizwan - We have tried hard, but the top order has been a struggle, so we sent Khawaja at the top and brought Ben Sears. We could have restricted them to 140-150, but credit to Hasan Nawaz, they took them to 180 which was a bit too much. I've belief in myself, if I don't lead from the front, my team will struggle. I will try my best; the rest is up to the almighty. We need to play with courage, ups and downs are part of the game. 5 matches remain; if we play well, we might qualify for the playoffs.
Rilee Rossouw | Player of the Match - It was a tough wicket to start, we summed up the conditions, kept ticking the scores to get a competitive total. We spoke about the conditions, wanted to take it deep and tehn Nawaz played a brilliant hand at the end. Good to know you have capable guys coming up who can play positive cricket.
22:11 Local Time, 17:11 GMT, 22:41 IST: The Pindiz have had a miserable tournament so far and this was a run-chase that never started. Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed on the first ball, setting the tone. Khawaja ran himself out, Yasir and Daryl Mitchell threatened to build a partnership, but once that ended, wickets tumbled. Saad Masoood's 19-ball 31 only helped them surpass 100, but it wasn't good enough to rescue them from a 5th straight loss. The Gladiators were very convincing with every bowler contributing, securing their 2nd win of the season. Stay tuned for the presentations..

Jahandad Khan to Mohammad Amir, out Mohammad Amir Run Out!! What happened there? Silly running by Amir and that's the end of the game. It's a free-hit and he was dismissed twice. Back of a good length and on off, Amir made room and went hard on the swipe, hit high on the bat and it lobbed to backward point. Rossouw took the catch and then threw down the stumps at the bowler's end, Amir was strolling along and is caught short by a mile. Mohammad Amir run out (Rilee Rossouw) 0(2)

Jahandad Khan to Saad Masood, out Caught by Abrar Ahmed!! That's the end of the Masood show and Jahandad shows him the way to the pavilion. Was the slower short ball, bowled into the pitch and made Saad wait, he waits and wait, then tries to ramp it over short third, but there's no pace on offer and offers a simple catch to the fielder instead.
