BAN 164/4 (18.2)
No result due to rain
PLAYER OF THE SERIES
Litton Das

Litton Das collects the trophy and hands it over to his boys. Now, time to pose behind the 'winners' hoarding. The series win should give Bangladesh plenty of confidence going into the Asia Cup, but the challenge isn't going to get any easier. Let's see how they fare at that event. We got plenty of cricket before that though. Do remember to tune into this space for all the latest in cricket. Cheers!!

Litton Das | Bangladesh captain and Player of the Series: Last 2 games, our batters did not get to spend time in the middle and today we wanted to see how we wanted to go with the bat, which is also the reason for the changes we made to the team. Credit goes to my team mates and coaching staff for putting in all the efforts. Thanks to Netherlands for coming here and playing good cricket. I am sure they will do well in the future.

Scott Edwards | Netherlands skipper: We would have liked to finish on a high, but not to be. They had a brilliant start and credit to our bowlers, we managed to restrict them after that powerplay. It is an awesome opportunity to get used to the conditions before the World Cup next year. We will regroup around new year again. It's been amazing and we have been treated really well here, want to wish all the best to Bangladesh for the Asia Cup.

A couple of rain breaks and a mini break in between due to floodlight failure, followed by an excellent captain knock from Litton Das. That was all we could get from this game. Stick around for the post-match reactions...

21:43 local, 15:43 GMT, 21:13 IST: It's coming down quite heavily now. Looks like the game is done. The umpires are shaking hands with the groundstaff and that should be it. Game called off as Bangladesh take the series 2-0. Quite an unfortunate end, but Netherlands looked much better with the ball today and did well to pull things back after the first rain break.

21:16 local, 15:16 GMT, 20:46 IST: Safe to assume that Bangladesh innings have ended. Looks like there is a steady drizzle and the groundstaff are in no rush to take the covers off anytime soon. We should have a restart by 21:48 (roughly 30 minutes from now) to have a 5-over chase.

20:54 local, 14:54 GMT, 20:24 IST: Scratch the previous update. The covers are firmly in place. Groundstaff are having a conflab, but surprisingly there is no rain at the moment. Are they expecting another spell shortly?

20:42 local, 14:42 GMT, 20:12 IST: Good news folks! The rain has stopped, and the groundstaff are slowly getting back to work. More updates soon as we have it...

20:31 local, 14:31 GMT, 20:01 IST: The umpires have had enough and off they go once again. Rain stops play for the second time. There was a steady drizzle over the last 5 minutes and it kept getting heavier by the minute. Groundstaff busy covering the surface and the square...

Aryan Dutt to Jaker Ali, no run, Jaker Ali shuffled across and then shuffled to the leg-side looking to play a big shot, missed the very full delivery and got pinged on the boot. Pitched outside leg and that's a good review from Bangladesh...

Jaker Ali given out lbw. He has decided to take it upstairs though. Did that pitch outside leg? Looks like it. Not out.

20:27 local, 14:27 GMT, 19:57 IST: It has started to drizzle once again...

17.3

Kyle Klein to Nurul Hasan, leg byes, 1 run, looks to scoop the slower length delivery and misses, the ball pings him on the thigh pad and rolls wide of backward point. The bowler looked a bit keen on the review and managed to convince his skipper in the end...

Netherlands review for lbw. Was there bat involved? Nope. Impact clearly outside off and that is not out. Both reviews gone for the visitors....

17.2

Kyle Klein to Nurul Hasan, SIX, full ad in the slot outside off, Nurul Hasan stays leg-side of the delivery and smokes it down the ground for a mighty maximum
