Anrich Nortje | Player of the Match: Good to be back. Good to be on the park. Great to be part of the SA20 again. It's been a while. But yeah, rhythm-wise, I think it can be better. But definitely, the wind played a bit of a part coming from one side and against it. But yeah, all in all, happy. (on bowling with Jansen and Milne) Yeah, it's a great combination. They're very skilled. They're some of the best in their departments swinging it up front. Great line and length. So, it's great to be coming on top of that to try and finish the powerplay off. And it always makes it easier if they're getting the wickets up front as well. So, yeah, very happy to be just chipping away after that. Definitely. I think there's a lot of compartments that's been covered. There's a lot of good players on the side that's not getting an opportunity tonight. But I think we cover a lot of conditions. We've got a lot of different skills. And it's just, I think, all in all, a very good unit. And the boys have been gelling very well the last few days. So, it's nice to be a part of it. (body good?) Tristan Stubbs | SEC captain: Yeah, the boys were excellent. Like you said, I think that's the perfect start. Yeah, I think that's what we asked for at the start, and the boys really gave it their all out there and executed excellently. I can tell you, I don't want to face our bowling attack. There's quite something. The boys are bowling quick. (on their batters) Yeah, they batted beautifully. I think they took the right options, and they're really calm on the middle. That's what it looked like from the side. So yeah, I think it was good for them to get runs up top. (on Jordan Hermann) He was excellent. We spoke about having someone in at the end, and the way he just took it from ball one, he showed the intent, and yeah, that was some innings. If we win like this, I'm happy not batting.

David Miller | PR captain: Yeah, it wasn't a great game from us. Not a good start, but you know, there's nine games in the comp to... You know, there's still a long comp ahead. I think we definitely let it slip at the back end. I think they batted really well in the middle towards back end. And then, yeah, with the batting, obviously, we just never got off to a start. And lost all the way through. I think they bowled exceptionally well. I think we were outplayed in all departments. In saying that, we obviously slipped up from our side as well. (on losing here which is a fortress) Yeah, it has. We've played phenomenal cricket over the years, and we'll definitely get that right. Like I said, it's our first game. A lot of younger guys in the team, and I think they'll learn pretty quickly. And we all in it together, and I'm actually looking forward to how we bounce back in a couple of days' time. (on missing names like Root, Buttler and Dinesh Karthik) Yeah, correct. You know, those guys are world-class players, and it's lovely to have that kind of experience in the team. We obviously don't have them, but, you know, we've got a squad and built it around in the sense that, you know, for our home team. And, yeah, it wasn't great tonight, but I'm sure we're going to bounce back. (on SEC losing three to start last year) Yeah, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. So, we're definitely going to hold on to that. And, like I said, absolutely gutted about tonight. Not a great result from our side, but, like I said, we've got a lot to look forward ahead of us. And, yeah, we take confidence in that.

20:31 Local Time, 18:31 GMT, 00:01 IST: The lowest total ever in SA20 history and SEC have thumped Paarl. Nothing went right in the chase for Paarl. They didn't stand a chance against the accuracy of Marco Jansen and Milne up top and then the pace of Nortje. Wickets kept tumbling and they slumped to 49 all-out. Just two batters in Verreynne and Asa Tribe who got into double-figures. Shows the sorry state of the Paarl innings. SEC have a strong seam bowling unit and they clicked superbly on a slow pitch. Nortje was all pace and cranked it up to create all sorts of issues. All five bowlers used by Stubbs were among the wickets. A clinical show by SEC as they begin their campaign with a win.
