PLAYER OF THE MATCH
A massive victory for the Strikers to end 2025 and they've jumped into a playoff spot. A day to forget for the Heat and they'll hope to usher in 2026 with a much better performance. Fireworks across the Adelaide Oval as we get ready to bring in the new year. Advanced wishes for all our viewers and we'll be back tomorrow to celebrate the start of 2026 with a double-header. Switch tabs and follow the action at the SA20. For now, cheers and bye..
Liam Scott | Player of the Match - Yeah, but it's been... probably a bit, a bit of match-up stuff (on opening the bowling). I think there'd be any hope where we can swing the new ball up top with Woody (Luke Wood) and myself, so it worked out tonight, but we'll wait and see how we go. Awesome, what a venue (on the Adelaide Oval), I know the Oval doesn't get any better, so up 40,000 here, it's awesome.
21:45 Local Time, 11:15 GMT, 16:45 IST: A convincing win to wrap up 2025 as the Strikers dominated the Heat in front of a roaring home crowd at the Adelaide Oval. The bowlers had set things up nicely earlier in the day and Chris Lynn's 41-ball 79* ensured that things didn't go haywire in the chase. Heat needed wickets in the batting PP, but the openers added 51 in just over 7 overs - Short the skipper was scratchy, but Lynn played his shots with freedom. Heat were disciplined with the ball and did take a few wickets, but they were powerless with very few runs to defend. This win takes the Strikers to the 4th spot and their NRR has got a healthy boost as well. Stay tuned for the presentations..
