PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Tim David

West Indies were outgunned and outclassed in their own power-hitting game by Tim David tonight. He wasn't just brutal, he was clever as well and he took down the bowlers at will. A short turnaround and the players will be back for the 4th match tomorrow. The series might've been lost, but West Indies will look to improve in the last two games. For Australia, it's all about playing good cricket, having fun and winning well. Do join us for the coverage tomorrow. For now, cheers and bye..

Mitchell Marsh | Australia Captain - Every series win is special with this young group, guys getting games and stoked to be 3-0 up (in the series). We're giving (guys) opportunities in different positions, I thought we executed our skills well with the ball in the final few overs and no words to say about Tim's knock tonight. We want the guys to enjoy playing cricket for Australia, it should be fun, we just want to play some good cricket.

Shai Hope | West Indies Captain - I don't think we had enough runs on the board. The dimension of the ground, the short boundaries - I think with the short boundaries, we needed more than just 214. Then we didn't get wickets consistently. We've powerful strikers of the ball, but credit to the Australians, they were excellent with the ball in the death overs. We need to correct a few things, we saw how Tim cleared the straight boundaries - we've to correct a few things and need to find solutions in the next couple of games. We've the players to do it, we've got some powerful strikers and we back them to deliver

Tim David | Player of the Match - Absolutely not (when asked if he should be batting higher up in the batting order), just had a great time in the middle wanting to make the most of every opportunity with the bat. Was really nice to spend time at home, I had picked up a niggle, didn't think too much, didn't think I would score a 100 for Australia. The pitch was good and the boundaries were short, I just backed myself to play my shots. You always use your experience of playing here and it came good for me. I've worked a lot on my power-hitting, but I'm looking to make the most of my range as a stroke-maker.

22:24 Local Time, 02:24 GMT, 07:54 IST: Tim David plays as a finisher across the franchise circuit, but he showed that he could be there for the long haul as well. Came inside the batting powerplay with Australia wobbling a bit at 61 for 3, but it was one-way traffic from there onwards. He didn't let any bowler settle, but Gudakesh Motie was reserved for the worst treatment - four consecutive sixes in a 28-run 10th over as David completed a 16-ball fifty, he wasn't done for the night as he continued the carnage, the ball simply kept flying around Warner Park. Agreed, the boundaries were short, but that was some insane hitting by the powerful striker. He did get a life on 90, but that wouldn't have altered the script. A 37-ball hundred, a spate of records broken and Australia have cruised to a 3-0 series lead, handing them the T20I trophy as well. West Indies would've sensed a chance at the half-way mark, but they were left to repent the slow down in their last 5 overs with the bat. What looked like 230+ ended up with only 214, but don't think any score was safe from David's reach today.

16.1

Shepherd to Tim David, FOUR, maiden T20I hundred for David as he completes the win for Australia - it's the fastest T20I hundred by an Australian and the 3rd fastest against any Test playing nation. Sheer power and dominance from David as he completes the hundred - takes the helmet off, celebrates the moment and then shakes hands with the opponents. Was a full ball down leg and David nonchalantly helped it past the keeper with the flick

Romario Shepherd [3.0-0-35-2] is back into the attack

15.6

Jediah Blades to Mitchell Owen, SIX, Powell takes the catch and then steps onto the advertising skirtings, sheepishly signals it as a six- short and just outside off, Owen flat-batted it towards long-on and didn't get the elevation on the shot. Powell was right in front of the ropes, went reverse cupped and took an easy catch - but the momentum takes him a step back and he finds himself on the ropes

15.5

Jediah Blades to Tim David, 1 run, full-toss outside off, punched down to long-off for a single

15.4

Jediah Blades to Tim David, FOUR, muscled, slower short ball on off - David backs away and flat-bats it over the umpire's head, long-on barely has a few yards to cover to his left and can't do so

15.3

Jediah Blades to Tim David, no run, yorker length delivery at the stumps, squeezes back at the bowler

15.2

Jediah Blades to Mitchell Owen, 1 run, short and just outside off - Owen bludgeons it to deep mid-wicket for a single

15.2

Jediah Blades to Mitchell Owen, wide, Blades goes for the wide yorker and sprays it miles outside off - called as a wide

15.1

Jediah Blades to Mitchell Owen, SIX, Owen is into the hitting zone now, short and at the body, he swivelled acros and pulled it flat and hard, sailing over deep backward square leg for another maximum

Jediah Blades [2.0-0-21-0] is back into the attack

14.6

Holder to Mitchell Owen, 1 run, full-toss outside off, Owen went hard on the drive and mistimes it to long-off

14.5

Holder to Mitchell Owen, FOUR, streaky and four, slower short ball outside off - Owen threw his hands on the cut, gets a thick edge and the ball has enough to sail over third man, who was inside the ring

14.4

Holder to Tim David, 1 run, Holder keeps it very full and wide of off, driven down to long-off for a single, brings up the 100-run stand

14.3

Holder to Mitchell Owen, 1 run, fuller length delivery outside off - catches a thick edge off Owen's attempted drive, spoons over cover and bounces well in front of the fielder in the deep

14.2

Holder to Mitchell Owen, no run, yorker length delivery outside off, Owen can't get under it as he squeezes it back at the bowler
