South Africa cruise to a 7-wicket win! With that, they have bagged the series 2-0 with one to play.It wasn't a pitch on which 288 could be chased down easily, but one side turned up in the second innings, with India looking quite flat. Also forcing that could've been how the Sout African openers came out, particularly Quinton de Kock who went after India's pacers from ball 1! Malan and de Kock eventually got fifties as they added 132 for the opening wicket. Once that was broken, South Africa didn't follow the same pattern of India's innings; they stitched partnerships throughout as the top and middle order contributed with significant knocks to help their side over the line.

Hats off to South Africa to have made that look rather easy. All the chatter about de Kock and Markram will have been silenced. India, though, have areas to address. Their conservative approach, middle order batting and their flat body language didn't help. South Africa, given the cricket they've played so far, will be eyeing a whitewash. India, meanwhile, will play for pride. Join us Sunday for the final game of India's tour. Until then, goodbye!

South Africa go past 250

India strike back with two quick wickets

First Malan was knocked over for 91 and soon after Bavuma is caught an bowled by Chahal!India needed this. Onto the elbow and onto the stumps. Malan played a brilliant knock with South Africa needing 76 and Bavuma departed for a well-compiled 35.

200 up for SA

50--run stand up between Bavuma and Malan

Pant and Rahul have now added 50 runs for the third wicket

100 up for India after that slow period

Double strike for South Africa

Just when India were going steady, they've hit a big roadblock! Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli have fallen in the space of six deliveries! First, Dhawan middled his slog swept off Aiden Markram but hit straight to Sisanda Magala at deep square leg, and then Kohli drove uppishly to Temba Bavuma at covers, to fall for a five-ball duck off a delivery from Keshav Maharaj. And just like that we're into India's middle-order again.

STAT: This was the 14th time Kohli has been dismissed for a duck in ODIs. Maharaj has the distinction of being the first spinner to do so

50 up for India in the 9th over

Put down! It was a tough chance for Malan at gully but he can't hold on. Rahul survives.. he was on 8.

We're minutes away from play in Paarl

TOSS: India win toss, will bat first.India are unchanged; Sisanda comes in for Jansen for SA

Teams:

India: KL Rahul(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant(w), Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal

South Africa: Quinton de Kock(w), Janneman Malan, Temba Bavuma(c), Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Sisanda Magala, Tabraiz Shamsi

South Africa made a good start to the three-match series with a comfortable 31-run win in the series opener. Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen scored centuries for South Africa; India had three half-centurions in Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Shardul Thakur, but the lack of runs from the middle order once again threw the spotlight on them going forward in the series.

Hello and welcome to the second ODI in Paarl as South Africa seek a series win, while India, series parity. India did have moments where they were ahead in the first game, especially when Kohli and Dhawan were in the middle, sharing a century stand. They couldn't finish the game, however, as India fell short. India will also want Yuzi Chahal to shed his indifferent form and Ashwin to make a mark on return to the 50-over format.

South Africa have their share of worries too with Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram struggling to get among the runs. They will want both - who are vital cogs in their line-up - to deliver. And ideally as soon as the second ODI.
