A DRAWN TEST! Australia will not be able to replicate the feats of past teams.England have denied Australia a whitewash on the back of some amazing, resilient batting on the final day. Even after Bairstow departed with just over 10 overs to go, Stuart Broad and Jack Leach ensured England had what it took to keep the hosts at bay. Australia lead the series 3-0, but England will take much out of this Test, battling through injuries, to take them to safety.

A brilliant Test all in all with a stunning comeback from Usman Khawaja in the Test with twin tons. Stokes starred fifties in both innings to keep England in the Test. Zak Crawley in the second innings was stoic Jonny Bairstow batted with an injury to keep England alive. And in the end, Leach fell with three overs left in the day, but Broad was unbeaten at the end to pull off a draw. Test cricket at its best. Rain threatened to play spoilsport, but we got enough for a superb finish. England showed lots of character and fight to hold Australia off in the end.

OUT! Finally Bairstow departs! A beautifulball from Boland that Bairstow looked to defend in front of his body and got a thick inside edge onto pad that lobbed straight to Labuschagne at silly point. Australia are two wickets away. Just over 10 overs left. Two results still possible.

Dropped! Smith drops an edge off Bairstow.He survives again after Carey's missed run-out chance earlier in the day.

OUT! Root's found the outside edge and Carey obliges! The stand is broken!Boland and the Australians are ecstatic! It's the big wicket of Root who was drawn forward in defence and with the ball straightening just a tad bit, took the outside edge.

Root and Stokes have added 50 runs for the fourth wicket.Only 49 overs left in the day now.

LUNCH!England will be happy to have kept Australia at bay, but Australia will be the happier side, even if just a tad, to have chipped in with 3 wickets in the opening session on the final day. Cummins was unlucky not to have returned a wicket after some brilliant bowling. Harris put down Stokes after another chance at short leg. That after, Carey had dropped Hameed off Cummins earlier in the day. England went to the break on 122/3, trailing by 266 with Root and Stokes in the middle.The pair is England's last hope if they are to save this Test. There are two sessions left and Buttler and Bairstow, although available to play, are carrying injuries. Australia will come out attacking, while England will go into defense mode. Who will come out trumps?

BIG WICKET FOR AUSTRALIA! Zak Crawley departs for 77.An inswinging yorker took Crawley by surprise. Given out! Australia have done well to pick up three in the session with another 40 mins to go.

OUT! No mistake this time as Carey takes an edge off Hameed's bat.Early break for Australia as the 46-run stand is broken. It's England's best opening partnership in the series. Also, how relentless is Boland who gets the wicket?

Build up:Australia need 10 wickets to win; England need 358 runs to win. Or the more likely direction for them is to bat out three sessions to pull off a draw and deny Australia hopes of a whitewash.

Hello and welcome to the fifth and final day of the fourth Ashes Test from Sydney. Rain on the opening day ensured the game has stretched into the final day. We've seen lots of ups and downs in this Test, but more ups than the latter. We finally saw some English grit and fightback, with Jonny Bairstow leading the way with a spectacular century - the first for England this series.

But what better a story than that of Usman Khawaja who made a return to Australia's Test side after 2019 and has scored tons in both innings? He's as good as sealed his spot in the XI, with Marcus Harris's spot now in serious danger.

Can Australia pick up the required 10 wickets across three sessions? Will we get to see another fightback from England? The openers have done well so far to have negotiated the required 11 overs last evening. Can they carry on? All that and more when play begins in a bit.
