Pitch report:
"It's a very, very good colour. The moisture content isn't very much and it looks a very good surface. There's a bit of rough at places but nothing bothering. Only 55 overs were played in the last game. Side winning the toss will want to bat. India might go with four fast bowlers, but I would have gone with two spinners. Very good surface and one you'd want to get in on," says Sourav Ganguly.

Build-up: Edgbaston set for battle of arch-rivals
"The streets of Birmingham have been Asianised, if I can call it that. It feels like watching a match back home with all the trumpets and face painting," reports Ganesh C, who's at Edgbaston. The excitement is palpable, as expected, as it as the biggest draw of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. It will be nothing short of a full-house and the Television Ratings are expected to soar as the Virat Kohli-led India face off against arch-rivals Pakistan in the fourth match of the tournament.
Both teams have been in the news for the wrong reasons of late. The alleged rift between the Indian skipper and coach Anil Kumble has dominated the news in the lead up to India's first game. Pakistan, meanwhile, have lost few of their key members due to the spot-fixing episode that hit the Pakistan Super League a few months back. The United Kingdom too has been hit by a spate of dreadful terror attacks and our prayers go out to those innocent victims and their family who bore the brunt of the acts of cowardice.
The game will be under way in a short while with heightened security in place. Have a look at our preview to get a better understanding of what to expect from today's match. Meanwhile, Kohli has dismissed speculations of a rift with Kumble and he and his team will be eager to change the discussions to their onfield show. Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur, is convinced that Pakistan are coming to terms with the new-brand of limited-overs cricket and believes him team is ready to tackle the nerves that come along with big games such as the one against India.
While we wait for the toss and the team updates, do provide your submissions as we debate whether India vs Pakistan encounters are worth the hype.
