That's a wrap:That's it from us in what has been a one-sided Ashes series. England had their moments but could not capitalise while Australia ran away with the series. Join us again for more Australia-England action with the ODI series, which begins on January 14.

Post-match presentations:

Steven Smith, Australia captain and Player of the series: "It's been a great couple of months. It's been outstanding. We were able to take 80 wickets in four Test matches. We haven't relied on one bowler, just won those key moments. England had their foot in the door in all matches. We won the crucial moments. It's nice to have these five Test matches without any injuries. These guys did the job. I can't thank enough. I thank everyone in the group. That's part of batting, I love batting. I work really hard in the nets. I'm making good decisions. Have been able to contribute from the front."

James Anderson, England vice-captain: "He's (Joe Root) asleep. He has a gastro issue. He is sleeping in the dressing room trying to recover. We have been in the games to an extent, but couldn't capitalise. Credit to Smith and the team. They have got a fantastic bowling attack. We couldn't create enough pressure with the ball. Lucky to have such great support, even though we have been beaten."

Pat Cummins, Player of the match: "Couldn't have asked for much more. It's been a lot of fun. We have played a lot of cricket together. It's been great. Pretty much, everything I could have asked for. Excellent to see how much it means to everyone."

Australia complete 4-0 rout of England:

It's all over at the SCG as Hazlewood dismisses Anderson. Root doesn't come out to bat and there is no fifer for Cummins. England fold for 180 to suffer a loss by an innings and 123 runs, their second innings loss in this Ashes.

Stubborn stand:

Tom Curran and James Anderson have done well to keep the Australian bowlers waiting. They have added 24 runs so far to take England to 180 for 8. No news yet on Root's situation. But it appears less likely that he will come out to bat.

Cummins bags another four-fer:

Having bagged a four-wicket haul in the first innings, Cummins added another to his tally by accounting for Masaon Crane as his fourth victim of the second innings. It was another short delivery which struck the batsman on the thumb before travelling to the 'keeper's hands. Crane reviewed but to no avail. The wicket also helped Cummins overtake Starc as the highest wicket-taker of this Ashes. England slipped to 156 for 8.

End of Bairstow's resistance:

Bairstow's vigil has come to an end after 143 deliveries as he is trapped in front b Pat Cummins in the third over after Lunch. Root doesn't come out, it's Broad out there to face the music and it's a short stay for him as he is undone by a bouncer. England slip to 148 for 7. Still no Root.
