A classy left-handed opener, the 20-year-old Mandhana rose to prominence when she oozed class during India's limited-overs tour of Australia in early 2016, scoring a memorable hundred at Hobart. Even before her exploits in Australia, the Maharashtra youngster gave a sneak-peak into her abilities with a knock of 51 on Test debut against England in Wormsley. Although widely tipped by many to become the flag-bearer of India's batting in the future, Mandhana arrives for her maiden World Cup with a cloud hanging over her form and position in the playing XI.
