At 76 for 5, the visitors were in deep trouble, but Azam blended defiance with tremendous application to resurrect the innings. For New Zealand, Tim Southee utilized the helpful conditions on view to end up with his fifth five-fer in Tests. Unfortunately, later in the day, persistent rain led to the umpires calling off play in the final session, with the hosts having faced just one ball.
Just like Day 3, play is expected to start 30 minutes early to make up for the lost time.
