Pakistan overcame the West Indian challenge on the fifth day to win Asia's first day-night Test in Dubai and take a 1-0 lead in the three Test series. Starting the last day on 95 for 2, West Indies got off to the worst possible start, losing overnight batsman Marlon Samuels off the first ball of the day. The visitors though managed to stay in the hunt thanks to the star of the day for West Indies - Darren Bravo. The southpaw scored his eight Test hundred, his seventh away from home, to carry the West Indian hopes of an unlikely win till the last session. However, the tail collapsed after his dismissal to give Pakistan the much-expected victory.
